| Steve Madely Madely in the Morning weekdays 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on CFRA is hosted by veteran commentator Steve Madely and he joined the Light Up The Night cast in 2005. Steve started his career as a broadcaster in 1964 while attending high school in Oakville, Ontario. After a number of radio and television positions in Southern Ontario, Steve came to Ottawa as part of the founding management team for CFGO Radio in 1972. He joined CFRA in 1981 as News Director, later moving to Station Manager. He returned to the air on CFRA in 1993 as host of "Power of the People" - quickly building a #1 audience with the 9-Noon talk show. In 1994 "Madely In The Morning" Ottawa's premier NewsTalk Breakfast show, made its debut. Steve has been a valuable member of Ottawa's community for more then 30 years. Among the many ways he helps out, Steve co-hosts the annual Ottawa Cancer Centre Telethon, is an Honorary Life Rotarian for his work with the Easter Seal Society, is a past board member for the Children's Aid Foundation, The Regional Cancer Centre Foundation, and The Roberts Smart Centre. Friday night, December 5th 2005, Steve led the Light Up The Night crowd in a rousing rendition of I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas along with Max Keeping and Brea Lawrenson. |
